The muscular system works with the bones to produce a wide range of movement but also plays an important role in breathing, digestion and the circulatory system. Preserve the function of the muscular system system by developing habits that reduce muscle stress and improve muscle function and strength.
River time
Sitting in the backseat. We’re about half an hour away from where we’re staying. All I can see are paddocks with cattle and a line of gumtrees to the left hand side. No wonder there are so many flies in this place!
‘Bang!’ I hear the tyre on Dad’s car pop. I think about when we planned this holiday and now it’s over before it’s even begun.
We call the roadside assistance guy and sit and wait. It’s really hot with no wind.
‘I’m going across the road to get out of the sun.’ I turn to my mates. ‘Do you want to come?’ I ask them.
As I’m crossing the road I can see the clouds in the distance. They look a dark grey.
‘Is that a storm coming?’ I say to Jack.
‘Nah, it’s too hot for a storm,’ says Jack.
We reach the trees. I pick up a stick and play with it whack! I hit it on the tree next to me and a gum nut hits me on the head I look up and a massive tree house is there so we go climb it and we find out that it’s abandoned. We play for a while then go back to the car.
As we’re walking back the storm hits. Suddenly it’s really dark and windy. It’s bucketing down. We get soaked.
‘Quick, let’s get in the car!’ said Dad.
‘We’ve found a treehouse,’ I tell Dad, ‘how about we shelter there?’
We end up having to sleep the night in the treehouse. When we wake up in the morning birds are talking, the rain has stopped. The clouds have gone. The puddles are nearly dry.
‘Here we go,’ said Dad, ‘looks like a nice day coming up.’
the road side assist finally came. We hit the dusty high way again we arrive at the river we unpack and put our boat Malibu response in the water and go for a ski. I land my first flip on the wake board.
I’ll never forget the location of that treehouse, it was the best treehouse I’ve ever seen
